TWINTEX®

Fiber Glass Industries is pleased to announce our newest product TWINTEX®, a roving made of commingled E-Glass and polypropylene filaments which can be woven into highly conformable fabrics. This unique and ready-to-use thermoplastic glass reinforcement has broad applications. Designed with high mechanical properties, it offers an excellent stiffness/weight ratio and superior impact properties over traditional fiberglass. Direct Roving is the base material for the TWINTEX® fabric line and is provided with a Polypropylene Matrix (PP). TWINTEX® further offers high processing speeds, the elimination of pot and shelf life limitations, an absence of volatile matter (styrene etc.), recyclability, efficient and environment friendly process conditions and superior design freedom.

TWINTEX® Roving

TWINTEX® is a roving made of commingled E-glass and polypropylene filaments. It is suitable for filament
winding, pultrusion, reinforcement of extruded profiles and weaving. Consolidation is done by heating the roving above the melting temperature of PP matrix (180°C–230°C / 360°F-450°F) and applying a pressure before cooling under pressure.
